& bring on 2014

After working a 12 hour shift, I pick up David around 7:30, (who wasn't feeling too hot himself. ): I had to run home, pack for our weekend getaway, shower and get ready for our NYE party.
When I got out of the shower David and my mom convinced me that we should just stay in and drink some Jack at home.
[Which wasn't too hard, cause I am always more than down to just bum out with my man.]
It turned out to be one of my favorite New Years Eves yet! I got spoiled with a foot rub, some Games of Throne, plenty of time to pack and the best company I could have asked for.
We watched the ball drop and had a shot at midnight, and went to sleep shorty after. <3

I love that he just loves to be with me; because I just love to be anywhere as long as it's with him. :).

& On Christmas..

It was wonderful getting to spend Christmas with my family AND David.
Every Christmas eve we gather at Grandma's house for some excellent grub, a white elephant game, and some chaotic family time. I let him open one of his Christmas presents early so he would fit in. [pajama pants of course--it's a tradish :]

After Grandma's, David and I cuddled up to the Grinch in my room while waiting for Santa to come.

Christmas morning my mom made us some æbleskivers for breakfast, and we took turn opening presents at my house.

A little later we stopped by his mom's house and exchanged presents with her. They spoil me too much!
After that we headed back to grandma's for our tradition of omelets and our present hunt. He is so great with all the kids, and they totally love him-- it's darling!

After a few hours we headed back to his mom's house for some amazing Christmas dinner and a game or two of candyland!
It was a perfect relaxing holiday surrounded by all the people I cherish so much.

& as we are driving around..

One of my favorite songs by Bush came on..
He kisses my hand and tells me: "I think Gavin Rossdale wrote this song, just for me to sing to you."
And then he starts to sing it to me.. ahhhh.

& it's Christmas time!

One night his mom came home and wanted to take some pictures by the tree! I am in love with these silly pictures.
[& of course the people in them ;]

Aren't they darling??

& then we tried..

Some PHO!!
I've been dying to try pho for a while now, and I convinced David to try it with me..

My friend Heidi recommended a little place called Gossip in WVC. :)
It was definitely better than I expected.

[Those bowls were huuuuge!]

At first they brought us a plate of garnishings, and we had to google what to do with them. [lol]

It was pretty neat how we got the same thing but after our own touches they tasted completely different! :)

I think we'll definitely get it again soon..
Next time from Green Papaya-- anyone been there yet?

& this one time..

He tries to cook us some stuffed peppers..

& practically smokes us out! [LOL]

Yet, they still turned out pretty darn good!

& we freeeeeeze..

Tuesday night we met my family downtown to show Glen's parents [in town from NY] the lights at Temple Square.
We all met up at City Creek, and then grabbed some grub at Blue Lemon.

After dinner we froze to the bone walking around Temple Square. :)

The lights were very beautiful, but I remember them lighting every last tree and limb, not just a few lucky trees..

[Did I mention it was freezing??]
It was a lovely time, but I definitely needed to cuddle up after that.. :)

& we shred the gnar..

David has never been skiing or snowboarding before, so Noah and I took him on Black Friday!

The first lift we get on, he says: "They don't strap you in?!" -soooooo funny! :)

It is early season, Snowbird is steep & we didn't take him on any bunny hills either...

I can't believe how well he caught on, and how awesome his attitude was the entire day.
[Cause we all know the first time snowboarding totally and completely SUCKS.]

I'm pretty sure he wont be able to walk tomorrow, but he claims he can't wait to head up again..
Needless to say, he is pretty much amazing.

& our first Thanksgiving together..

Unfortunately I had to work 7a- 3p Thanksgiving day, but that didn't stop this day from being simply amazing..

While I was at work, my sweet boy saved my life by delivering some very strong coffee, in the coolest cup ever.
He is way too sweet to me.

As soon as I was off work we headed to my Grandma's house for Thanksgiving dinner.
My family was so sweet and welcoming to him, they even "photoshopped" him onto our family portrait above the fireplace.
LOL. It was so funny and thoughtful of them.

After we ate, we had a blast playing one of Ellen's favorite games: [Head's Up.]
Go-karting, cleaning up, eating pie and just hanging out with the family.

David surprised me with a Thanksgiving card and some gorgeous roses..
[In a mason jar none the less --he's good. :]

Later that night we had a Walking-Dead-Cuddle-Thon.

[That is Noah in the #photobomb.]

It couldn't have been a more perfect holiday with the people I love most. <3
