Tonight we cooked dinner together, and it was awesome! We had steak, cheesy cauliflower, yams & potatoes, grilled asparagus and wine!

Today he surprised me at work with a jamba and a rose. Gosh I just love him. 

Have I mentioned he is the sweetest thing ever? 

Wait, what's taking so long?

[I swear I hear the oven going off, 20 minutes later he brings me pizza and some sauce.]

D:"You're going to kill me.. What I thought was pizza sauce was actually hot sauce from la puente [uhh win?], so I was trying to make you homemade pizza sauce"

J:"Out of what!? 😦"

D:"Diced fresh tomatoes, a tad of mayo, a little canned tomato sauce & a dab of that la puente salsa, maybe two tablespoons" 

Bahahaha I would have been totally happy with just the pizza, but he always makes sure I have my sauce.. 

I'm so spoiled!

Have I mentioned he is amazing?

Last Thursday I was having a rough day and didn't want to do anything.. 

& he still never ceases to amaze me! 

Look at this:

Okay, I was only sliiiightly kidding, but no-- not only did he have beer, he had my favorite type of beer already cold in his fridge for me.. Somebody pinch me!

David and I have had a busy couple of months! We both bought new cars, we've ran a 5k, seen Britney Spears in Vegas, survived a bachelorette/bachelor weekend away, went on A Lily Gray tour to Richfield, & marched in the pride parade!
Also, no excuse but I am just finishing my first quarter of nursing school.. So my apologies for the neglect. :(

& Hoppy Easter!

The night before Easter we died eggs with my madre and little bro! It turned into a little bit of a party, and a big bit of a mess! 

We all tried traditional dye, tie-dye, shaving cream, and whatever else we could think of. It was so much fun, and they all turned out so pretty! 

& he is so tasty..

& I love him to the moon and back..

I had to work the night of this crazy cool red lunar eclipse, but it was pretty cool we got to share it together over the phone.. 

& we shed again!

Both of us were sore, and not too thrilled to head up the mountain... But we figured: why not? 

On the way up we grabbed some Rich's bagels! [YUM!] It turned out to be such a great day! It was only Dave's third time up ever, and he is so good--he has almost mastered the switch!! Both of us were so stoked! 

"Babe! I'm doing it!!" 

I can't believe I didn't get a picture! We stayed even longer than we thought we would. :)

After we headed down for some Chinese food at Charlie Chows and tried another new brew! 

It was the perfect way to spend a spring Saturday in Utah. Snowboarding boots in the morning, flip-flops in the afternoon!

Tonight we tried this awesome pin from Pinterest! It turned out so freaking awesome! 

While waiting for it to cook we had an artichoke for an appetizer. I pull it out of the steamer and Dave says: "what do you do with all the leaves?" Hahaha I didn't realize he has never had a real artichoke before! I think he liked it! 

We also tried some new brews, neither one of us were a fan! 

& we prep!

Today we went to town cooking health meals for the week! 

We steamed asparagus, roasted Brussel sprouts, cooked some celery soup, and cooked up some chicken breasts.

I love cooking with him, especially since he is so darn good at it! 

He even cut off all the fat and weird spots, just like my mom would do! 

Total keeper right there!  Seriously, raw chicken freaks me right out! I got lucky with this one ;). 

& my first day of nursing school!

My first day at Fortis was on a Tuesday afternoon. I got off work that morning at 0700 and headed to his house for a nap before school! He is adorable and had an ice water waiting for me, and the coffee pot set for when I woke up (even though I kindly declined it.) 

He is so funny and told his mom to be extra quiet so I could sleep. Unfortunately I was too excited to get a good nap in. When I had to get up, she had brought me a lunch to take for my first day! 

Those two are way too good to me! 

That night we FINALLY got to watch Game of Thrones, and we totally went to bed early. It was completely perfect! 

We are rockstars and woke up early the next day for body pump! :). 

& he likes to see me sweat.

I ate the freaking hottest burger the other day! It was probably the hottest thing I've ever eaten, and he loved watching me suffer! It was called the "Ring of Fire" from Lucky 13!  

But he took care of me when I got my first (and worst) heart burn everrrr. 

Later that night he rocked the stage again at 5 Monkeys! His buddy Tim let me use some of his lenses, and helped me take a bunch of incredible pictures for my photography assignment! I'm so blessed to be surrounded by such awesome people. :)

& he gives in..

When I'm dying for a sweet home Chicago pizza calzone, he'll give in (sometimes ;). & he'll even go in gym clothes with me!! Gosh, he's amaZeballs!

He even loves taking a million selfies!

Night on the town with my boo!

Tonight I dragged him to Keys on Main for my managers "F*ck Cancer" celebration! After we enjoyed a long awaited brew at the Beerhive, and danced a little at Maxwells! 

The next morning I'm awoken by breakfast in bed! Have I mentioned I love my life??

& tonight..

Tonight he "whips me up" something when he got off work.. 

Haha, it might look scary... But it sure was yummy! That you're looking at is cucumbers marinated with mint and red peppers in balsamic vinegar and a little oil. It's practically like a pickle ;).

Mmmmmm it sure was a tasty treat! 

And to top it off, he even surprised me with a Jamba!!!! 

& Saturday's suck!

Lately we've been staying up way too late on Friday nights.. 

 Actually, it seems like only the Friday nights that I work the next morning.

This Saturday was one of the worst! I was sure dragging! My sweet boo brought me, not only pizza for lunch... But a kombucha, and a jamba too!!

He saves my life daily. Really tho, how did I score him?

& another killer show!

This Friday night, A Lily Gray took the stage at Liquid Joes! 

I don't think I will ever get sick of seeing them! Every time they just kill it!

They even played the "oldies" just for me.

& he's not too cool for old-school!

On our night off together he is cool enough to play games with me. 

There is never a dull moment with this boy. I love doing anything, everything, and absolutely nothing with him. 

We even got Noah in on it, and started a game of risk before bed! 

I just cherish lazy nights like these. 

& then this happens!!

We were talking about going to see Britney Spears in Vega$ for my birthday.. 

Next thing I know, these come in the mail!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Best early birthday present ever! I don't know what I'm more excited about--this concert or experiencing Vega$ with him. 

I have a feeling it's going to be one for the books!

The thing I love most: he is just as excited as me! 

I think he's a keeper! ;). 

& has it been six months already?

I can easily say these last six months have some of the best of my life. I'ts amazing you can love someone so much, and simply fall in love with them more every single day. 

For our six month anniversary we decided to go to the Cheesecake Factory, the same place we had out first date. 

It's funny how so much can change in just six little months:

From our first date where:

both of us were practically strangers..

how nervous we both were, we couldn't even focus on the menu..

how Dave giggled like a little school girl..

how we set across from each other and I could not hold still..

how it was the middle of the afternoon..

To now where:

We sat next to each other, hands never to ourselves...

How we could practically order for one another if we wanted to...

How comfortable and relaxed we both were... 

How we have only been dating 6 months but we seem to know almost anything and everything about each other..

Needless to say, it was perfection.

David is the most thoughtful person I've ever met. Even though we agreed on no gifts, he still got me these gorgeous roses and wrote me a beautiful love letter. 

We were hanging out at his house after, and decided since it was a special occasion, we deserved on of our favorite brews. [We're in the middle of "no beer for thirty days," but one won't hurt-- right? ;]

We walked over to one of our favorites: The Leprechaun! 

[Deja-vu.. Yes, that would be my phone charging from the ceiling.]
